Conclusion

Remember that line I drew at the beginning? "Do you want the government forcing other people to live like you?" Well, which side are you on? Do you seek control  (through tyranny of the majority), or choice  (through freedom of the individual)?

If you support the CDL, (Current Democrat Leadership) then you will help the CDL deny people's choices in order to gain control. Seriously. Almost every CDL initiatve violates the choice principle, because they want to control other people, not just themselves. The CDL finds "hope" in taking more from the wealthy. They find "freedom" in forcing public acceptance of their views. They indoctrinate, redistribute, socially engineer, and ultimately lower the rewards and consequences for personal choices. In so doing, the CDL plays favorites, constantly setting up enemies (oil companies, SUV owners, white evangelicals, etc.). Pitting Americans against one another, they capitalize on the worst in us, rather than bringing out our best.

Is this what you want? Everyone has biases, but do you want yours forced on others?

Let me challenge all people - you, me, Conservatives, Liberals, everyone - with one final statement: It is easy to want the government out of your personal decisions, but it is patriotic to want the government out of everyone's personal decisions. That is what the Founding Fathers envisioned, and that is what The Party Of Choice supports today.

Let me also extend an invitation. If you want to control your own life, but not the lives of others, then come talk with people who share this central vision. Bring your ideas. Bring your perspective, whether traditional or not. Working together, I believe we can promote freedom for all Americans. We can offer liberty. We can offer mutual respect, reviving a nation of individuals ready to live with - and learn from - their personal decisions.

Together, we can offer Choice.
